What is CVE-2025-71248?

A vulnerability exists in SPIP before version 4.4.9 that allows for stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks through syndicated sites within the private area. This occurs because the #URL_SYNDIC output is not adequately sanitized on the syndicated site page. An attacker, capable of supplying a malevolent syndication URL, can inject persistent script code, which executes automatically when other administrators access the syndicated site details. Immediate remediation is advised to protect against potential exploits.
