What is CVE-2025-71357?

The Picklescan tool prior to version 0.0.30 is vulnerable due to inadequate detection of malicious pickle files. Specifically, it fails to properly validate input in the idlelib.pyshell.ModifiedInterpreter.runcommand method, which allows attackers to craft pickle files containing undetected malicious code. When such files are loaded by unsuspecting users, the embedded commands execute remotely, posing significant security risks.
