What is CVE-2025-71452?

Vembu BDRSuite, prior to version 7.6.0, is affected by an unauthenticated cross-site scripting vulnerability arising from insufficient input validation in the restoreprogress.sgp file. Attackers can exploit this flaw by manipulating request parameters, allowing them to inject arbitrary JavaScript into the HTML response. This grants attackers potential control over victim browser sessions, enabling actions such as session hijacking or the manipulation of the user interface. To mitigate this risk, it is essential to upgrade to the latest version of Vembu BDRSuite as detailed in their release notes.

Affected Version(s)

BDRSuite 0 < 7.6.0

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
