Unauthorized Access Elevation in Keycloak Identity Management System
CVE-2025-7784
6.5MEDIUM
What is CVE-2025-7784?
A security flaw has been identified in the Keycloak identity and access management system that could allow an administrative user with the manage-users role to escalate their privileges to realm-admin. This occurs due to improper enforcement of privilege levels when Fine-Grained Admin Permissions (FGAPv2) are enabled. The vulnerability threatens the separation of administrative duties, potentially allowing unauthorized users to gain significant access rights within the realm, thereby compromising user management and overall system security.
