What is CVE-2025-7985?
A vulnerability exists in Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt's VC6 file parsing that permits remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This flaw arises from inadequate validation of user-supplied data, leading to an integer overflow before buffer allocation. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by convincing a user to visit a malicious webpage or open a compromised VC6 file, executing code within the context of the current process.
