What is CVE-2025-8004?
A security vulnerability exists in Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt XE due to improper validation during the parsing of XE files. This flaw allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations when a user interacts with a malicious page or file. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by crafting a specially designed file to manipulate the application's data handling process, leading to unauthorized execution of commands within the context of the current process.
