What is CVE-2025-8005?

A critical vulnerability exists in the Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt XE software due to improper validation during the parsing of XE files. This flaw creates an opportunity for remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by compelling the user to visit a malicious webpage or open a compromised file.
