Command Injection Vulnerability in Kenwood DMX958XR Firmware
CVE-2025-8634
6.8MEDIUM
What is CVE-2025-8634?
The Kenwood DMX958XR firmware is susceptible to a command injection vulnerability that enables attackers, with physical access to the device, to execute arbitrary code. This flaw is rooted in the firmware update mechanism, which fails to adequately validate user-supplied input prior to executing critical system calls. Consequently, an unauthenticated attacker can leverage this security weakness to run commands with root privileges, potentially compromising the device's integrity.
