What is CVE-2025-8799?

A denial of service vulnerability has been identified in Open5GS versions up to 2.7.5, specifically affecting the AMF component. This vulnerability arises from the functions amf_npcf_am_policy_control_build_create and amf_nsmf_pdusession_build_create_sm_context located in the src/amf/npcf-build.c file. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability remotely, causing the affected system to become non-responsive. To mitigate this issue, it is strongly recommended to upgrade to version 2.7.6, which includes a patch addressing the vulnerability.
