What is CVE-2025-8818?
A vulnerability exists in several Linksys Wi-Fi range extenders, including the RE6250, RE6300, RE6350, RE6500, RE7000, and RE9000 models. This issue arises from improper handling of input parameters in the function setDFSSetting found in the '/goform/setLan' file, allowing an attacker to inject operating system commands. Due to the exposure of the vulnerability, it can be exploited remotely by adversaries. The vendor has been notified about the vulnerability, but has not yet provided a response. Users of affected products are advised to take immediate security measures.
