Insufficient Guidance in PCIe IDE Specification Exposes Data Access Risks
CVE-2025-9614

6.5MEDIUM

What is CVE-2025-9614?

A vulnerability has been identified in the PCI Express (PCIe) Integrity and Data Encryption (IDE) specification that results from insufficient guidance on re-keying and stream flushing during device rebinding. This oversight can potentially allow stale write transactions from a previous security context to be inadvertently processed within a new context. As a result, this can lead to unauthorized data access between trusted domains, jeopardizing both confidentiality and data integrity across connected systems. Organizations utilizing affected versions are encouraged to review their implementations to mitigate potential risks.
