A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists within the Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS software, allowing an authenticated administrator to maliciously store and execute JavaScript payloads via the web interface. This issue notably impacts the PA-Series and VM-Series firewalls, as well as Panorama devices. Best practices to mitigate this security concern include restricting access to the management interface strictly to trusted internal IP addresses, thereby minimizing potential exploitation risks. It is important to note that Cloud NGFW and Prisma Access services are unaffected by this vulnerability.
