What is CVE-2026-0404?

A critical flaw in the NETGEAR Orbi series devices allows network-adjacent attackers, authenticated over WiFi or on a local area network (LAN), to perform OS command injection via the DHCPv6 functionality. This vulnerability is particularly significant as it may enable unauthorized access and manipulation of device functions. Note that DHCPv6 is disabled by default, which could limit exposure if left unchanged.
