What is CVE-2026-0408?

A path traversal vulnerability exists in NETGEAR WiFi range extenders that could permit an attacker with LAN authentication to exploit the device. Through this vulnerability, the attacker can access the router's IP address and browse the contents of a dynamically generated webproc file. This file may reveal sensitive data, including usernames and passwords submitted via the router’s web interface. Users are advised to review the security advisories from NETGEAR and apply recommended patches to safeguard their devices.
