OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.8.1 are susceptible to a vulnerability in the MCP loopback component that enables malicious actors to bypass established sandbox policies. This flaw allows sandboxed coding-agent sessions to invoke tools that should have been restricted as per the sandbox.tools.deny policy. As a result, attackers can access sensitive data and execute unauthorized actions, posing significant security risks for users relying on this platform.
