What is CVE-2026-100596?

OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.7.1 exhibit a significant authorization bypass vulnerability, allowing non-owner users to execute unauthorized MCP configuration changes. Attackers can exploit this flaw through /mcp set and /mcp unset commands, enabling the persistence of arbitrary stdio MCP commands to run with the privileges of the OpenClaw process upon configuration loading. This could potentially compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the host system.
