What is CVE-2026-100682?

Budibase Server prior to version 3.45.0 is susceptible to an arbitrary file write vulnerability through its PWA icon upload feature. This security flaw allows users with the BUILDER role to upload malicious ZIP files containing symlink entries, potentially enabling the execution of arbitrary code by writing files as root. The lack of proper validation mechanisms for symlinked entries within the extracted ZIP archives poses a significant risk, as attackers can manipulate file entries to exploit this vulnerability.
