What is CVE-2026-102812?

A hard-coded cryptographic key vulnerability has been identified in the user-configuration backup mechanism of certain TP-Link networking devices. This issue allows an attacker with access to an affected configuration backup file to extract a fixed AES-128 key and initialization vector embedded in the firmware. Consequently, sensitive information such as administrator passwords and Wi-Fi credentials contained within the backup could potentially be decrypted and accessed. This poses a significant risk to network security and user privacy.
