What is CVE-2026-103985?

FreeScout, a self-hosted help desk and shared mailbox solution, has a vulnerability where the profile form improperly exposes the 'only_assigned_tickets' permission to non-admin users. This flaw allows a restricted agent to modify their permissions, enabling them to bypass administrator-imposed restrictions. Consequently, the agent can read and alter conversations assigned to other staff members in any mailbox they have access to. This issue has been resolved in version 1.8.231.
