Incorrect Type Conversion Vulnerability in BeamMCP Server by ScriptKittyOS
CVE-2026-104634
What is CVE-2026-104634?
An incorrect type conversion vulnerability exists in the BeamMCP.Server component of ScriptKittyOS. This flaw allows JSON boolean arguments sent by an MCP client to be misrepresented as strings in the host's dispatch function. Specifically, 'true', 'false', and 'nil' are transformed into string format, causing atypical boolean evaluations in Elixir. This discrepancy can lead to unintended actions on the host, especially when the behavior diverges on the treatment of 'false' and 'true'. The vulnerability impacts versions of BeamMCP ranging from 0.1.0 to below 0.10.1, emphasizing the need for careful argument validation and normalization.
