What is CVE-2026-104861?

The Probe-Image-Size library prior to version 7.4.0 is susceptible to denial of service due to how it processes SVG data. The synchronous and streaming parsers utilize a regular expression that may be exploited by supplying attacker-controlled data with an excess of less-than characters. This can cause excessive blocking of the Node.js event loop, potentially leading to high CPU usage and degrading performance. Users are advised to upgrade to version 7.4.0 or later to mitigate this vulnerability.
