What is CVE-2026-10565?

A security vulnerability has been identified in Open5GS, specifically within the NGAP Handover component, affecting versions up to 2.7.6. The flaw resides in the gmm_state_security_mode function of the source file src/amf/gmm-sm.c. Successful exploitation of this issue can trigger a race condition that may allow an attacker to perform unauthorized actions remotely. Although the complexity of launching an attack is relatively high, the exploit has been made publicly available, raising concerns for affected installations. Currently, a pull request is in process to address this vulnerability.
