What is CVE-2026-105864?

An authentication-related access control issue exists in Payload CMS that affects users limited to a single tenant within the multi-tenant plugin. This flaw allows such users to create records in different tenant spaces when one or more tenant-enabled collections are available. The problem does not extend to reading or directly editing documents in other tenants, but the ability to create records poses a risk of data leakage and unintentional access to sensitive information. Versions 3.90.0 and 4.0.0-canary.34 have addressed this vulnerability to enhance security.
