What is CVE-2026-106507?

The Backstage TechDocs plugin, prior to version 1.15.4, is vulnerable to an arbitrary file read issue. This vulnerability arises from unsafe path resolution in the handling of documentation sources. An authenticated user able to register documentation sources can potentially access files outside designated documentation boundaries, which may expose sensitive files that are readable during the build process. Users are advised to update to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
