What is CVE-2026-10690?

A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability exists in wonderwhy-er DesktopCommanderMCP version 0.2.37. This weakness is caused by improper handling of the URL argument in the readFileFromUrl function, located in the filesystem.ts component. An attacker can exploit this flaw to send unauthorized requests from the server, potentially leading to sensitive data exposure. The exploit code is available publicly, increasing the risk of attacks. Users are strongly advised to apply the patch identified by commit 53699bebba9950047bca16ac4dc8f0568f596aaa to mitigate the risk.
