Heap Use-After-Free Vulnerability in m17n-lib Affects Users
CVE-2026-107167
6.2MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-107167?
A vulnerability exists in the m17n-lib library that allows a user to provide specially crafted text input, triggering a heap use-after-free condition during input-method state transitions. This flaw occurs when the library improperly manages memory, freeing an internal input context object but still attempting to access the freed memory. As a result, applications that utilize m17n-lib may experience crashes, leading to Denial of Service (DoS) incidents or posing a risk for arbitrary code execution under specific conditions.
