What is CVE-2026-107573?

The hMailServer installer creates data, log, temp, database, and event folders with overly permissive default settings, allowing local authenticated users to gain unauthorized read access to sensitive server data. This includes stored emails, logs, and the configuration file, potentially exposing account passwords and database access credentials. The Linux AppImage also shares similar permission issues, enabling local users to access individual data folders, further jeopardizing data security.
