What is CVE-2026-107655?

A flaw within the Common UNIX Printing System (CUPS) has been identified, which arises when processing embedded job ticket comments in documents. The service improperly manages specific Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) attributes, leading to an unhandled null pointer dereference. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker, who has the ability to submit jobs to a shared printer queue, to craft a malicious IPP request. As a result, this could crash the print daemon, creating a Denial of Service (DoS) that temporarily halts all printing services for users reliant on this functionality.
