What is CVE-2026-108114?

Strapi versions 5.47.0 through 5.57.0 are susceptible to an improper authorization vulnerability that allows unauthorized access to full content management capabilities through admin API tokens. When the owner's role has restricted access to certain fields, the reconcileTokenPermissionsToUserCeiling function fails to appropriately drop permissions for tokens correlating to those restricted fields. Consequently, token holders may still read content fields that have been removed from their roles by administrators, undermining access control and potentially exposing sensitive data.

Affected Version(s)

strapi 5.47.0 <= 5.57.0

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
