What is CVE-2026-108161?

FusionPBX versions up to 5.6.5 exhibit an OS command injection vulnerability located in the call_recordings::download() function. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary commands by injecting malicious caller ID values into the application. When the record_name filename template is activated, attackers can leverage shell metacharacters such as $(...) in their Caller-ID name or number. Consequently, commands executed as the web server user occur when a privileged user downloads multiple recordings bundled as a ZIP file. This serious oversight can lead to unauthorized system access and exploitation.
