What is CVE-2026-108165?

The Immich application, versions up to 3.3.1, contains a vulnerability where authorized partners can access metadata from Locked Folders. This occurs due to insufficient authorization checks in the partner synchronization stream. Specifically, when using the POST /api/sync/stream endpoint with PartnerAssetsV2 and PartnerAssetExifsV1 types, an attacker with an active partnership can retrieve sensitive information such as GPS coordinates, capture times, and descriptions associated with these assets, potentially leading to unauthorized disclosure of private content.

Affected Version(s)

immich 0 <= 3.3.1

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
