What is CVE-2026-108384?

A vulnerability exists in the dataclasses-avroschema package where the BaseGenerator class improperly processes fixed types. When generating Python code from Avro schemas, it fails to properly handle the interpolation of alias values, leading to the potential for arbitrary code execution through crafted schemas. This issue affects versions ranging from 0.38.0 to 0.70.5. The vulnerability has been addressed in version 0.70.6, which enhances security by rejecting non-list alias values, thereby preventing untrusted input from being executed.

Affected Version(s)

dataclasses-avroschema >= 0.38.0, < 0.70.6
