What is CVE-2026-108545?
SillyTavern versions 1.12.13 through 1.19.0 are susceptible to a denial of service attack due to the improper handling of body-parser middleware. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated remote attackers to exploit the system by sending large or compressed JSON or urlencoded request bodies, which can be up to 500 MB in size. By sending these requests in parallel, attackers can exhaust system resources, including memory and CPU, leading to service disruption. This flaw stems from the fact that body-parser executes prior to authentication and whitelist validations, effectively bypassing critical security measures.
Affected Version(s)
SillyTavern 1.12.13 <= 1.19.0
Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)
PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
