What is CVE-2026-108546?

Spotweb versions up to 1.5.8 are susceptible to an OS command injection vulnerability within the runcommand NZB handler. This flaw permits remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands by leveraging crafted titles in self-signed posts. When a user downloads a spot, the title including shell metacharacters is directly used in an exec() call, allowing attackers to manipulate the execution context under the Spotweb PHP process. Mitigating this vulnerability requires adopting secure coding practices and validating user inputs to avoid unauthorized command execution.

Affected Version(s)

spotweb 0 <= 1.5.8

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
