What is CVE-2026-108688?

Eladmin versions up to 2.7 are affected by a vulnerability in the LocalStorageController's uploadPicture handler. This flaw allows authenticated users with low privileges to bypass required permissions for file uploads. By exploiting this weakness, attackers can issue POST requests with image-named files to the endpoint /api/localStorage/pictures, enabling unauthorized access to write files into the server's local storage. This can potentially lead to sensitive information exposure, including the disclosure of absolute server paths.

Affected Version(s)

eladmin 0 <= 2.7

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
