What is CVE-2026-108744?

The pbi-cli tool versions 3.10.1 through 3.12.0 are susceptible to an OS command injection vulnerability located in the desktop_sync.py file. This vulnerability arises when unquoted .pbip paths are passed to the command prompt during the reopening of Power BI projects. Malicious actors can exploit this flaw by deceiving users into opening compromised project paths embedded with specific characters (such as '&') that execute arbitrary commands with the user's privileges. This can occur while writing or reloading reports, posing significant risks to user data and system integrity.
