What is CVE-2026-109278?

ImageMagick versions prior to 6.9.13-57 and 7.x versions before 7.1.2-32 experience a memory leak during the wavelet-denoise operation. This flaw arises when the software fails to release allocated memory under resource-constrained conditions, leading to potential service degradation as attackers can exploit this by repeatedly triggering the wavelet-denoise process. The resulting memory leakage could diminish service availability for users and applications relying on the software for image processing tasks.

Affected Version(s)

ImageMagick 7.0.0-0 < 7.1.2-32

ImageMagick 0 < 6.9.13-57

ImageMagick 7.1.2-32
