What is CVE-2026-109286?

Open WebUI versions prior to 0.11.4 are susceptible to a cross-origin message handling vulnerability specifically within the SyncStatsModal. This flaw allows an attacker to manipulate unvalidated verify:chat messages, potentially enabling the theft of a signed-in user's session token. By crafting a path-traversal chat ID, attackers can prey on authenticated session requests, redirecting them to a malicious endpoint and gaining access to the victim's JSON Web Token (JWT), thereby compromising the API security.
