What is CVE-2026-109350?

Gitoxide gix-pack prior to version 0.75.0 is susceptible to a denial of service attack, wherein attackers can exploit crafted thin-pack OFS_DELTA entries to disrupt fetch operations. This vulnerability enables malicious remotes to send thin packs that reference existing objects, combining REF_DELTA with an OFS_DELTA whose base_distance surpasses pack_offset. This misalignment leads to a panic in LookupRefDeltaObjectsIter, causing the fetch process to abort and effectively crashing the operation.
