Heap-based Buffer Overflow Vulnerability in AnyDesk by AnyDesk Software
CVE-2026-109390
9.8CRITICAL
What is CVE-2026-109390?
AnyDesk, a popular remote access tool, prior to version 8.0.3 has a vulnerability that enables unauthenticated remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This occurs through a heap-based buffer overflow caused by inadequate validation of the payload length value in the stream packet handler for mode 5 of the session protocol. The exploitation can lead to command execution as root, circumventing any necessity for the victim to grant desktop control. Users are advised to update their software to the latest version to mitigate potential risks.
