What is CVE-2026-109432?

Camunda versions prior to 7.24.14 and 7.23.17 are susceptible to an expression injection vulnerability associated with the AdhocQueryValidator. This weakness allows authenticated users to bypass restrictions set for expressions in adhoc queries by manipulating the orQueries field in TaskQueryDto. By injecting a malicious Java Unified Expression Language (JUEL) expression such as dueAfterExpression, attackers can execute arbitrary Java methods, potentially leading to command execution on the underlying operating system with the privileges of the engine service user.

Affected Version(s)

Camunda 7 7.24.0 < 7.24.14

Camunda 7 7.23.0 < 7.23.17

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
