What is CVE-2026-109444?

The vulnerability in OpenSRE allows adversaries to bypass the approval gate mechanism, enabling them to execute arbitrary shell commands without user confirmation. Due to a flaw in the execution_allowed() function, which consistently returns true, attackers can inject malicious instructions into alerts or Slack messages processed by the agent. This could lead to unauthorized command execution on affected hosts, potentially compromising sensitive information such as LLM, Slack, and cloud credentials.
