Buffer processing issue in PEAK-System PCAN driver
CVE-2026-109576
6.8MEDIUM
What is CVE-2026-109576?
The PEAK-System PCAN driver exhibits a flaw in its record parsing mechanism. Specifically, the parser can detect malformed records correctly; however, the loop that processes the record list continues to advance its processed-bytes counter even when it has determined a record to be invalid. This behavior can lead to processing inconsistencies and potential exploitation within software environments relying on the affected driver.
