What is CVE-2026-109946?

FreeRDP versions prior to 3.32.0 contain a flaw in AVC444 and AVC444v2 region width validation leading to assertions and client termination. A malicious RDP server can exploit this issue by sending an in-bounds region rectangle with an odd width during RDPGFX AVC444 negotiation, causing connected FreeRDP clients to abort. This vulnerability underscores the importance of robust validation mechanisms in remote desktop protocols to prevent service disruptions.
