What is CVE-2026-109966?
The yt-dlp-web-ui application through version 4.0.0 is susceptible to an argument injection vulnerability. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject yt-dlp options by providing a dash-prefixed URL parameter to the Service.Formats JSON-RPC method. For instance, by sending values such as --load-info-json via /rpc/http or /rpc/ws, attackers can manipulate the application to load external JSON files from the server filesystem. The content of these files may be reflected in the application's responses, potentially leading to unauthorized access and information disclosure.
