What is CVE-2026-110654?

libzvbi versions up to 0.2.45 are susceptible to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability within the Teletext decoder. By supplying unvalidated DRCS pixel-mode values in X/28/3 packets, attackers can manipulate memory allocation. When a crafted Teletext stream is decoded via vbi_decode, setting each slot to DRCS_MODE_6_5_4 leads to an overflow in the convert_drcs function, compromising the application and potentially leading to crashes.

Affected Version(s)

libzvbi 0 <= 0.2.45

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
