What is CVE-2026-110658?

Sofia-SIP versions prior to 1.13.18 are susceptible to a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability found in the msg_multipart_parse() function. This flaw enables unauthenticated remote attackers to crash the Sofia-SIP process by supplying oversized MIME boundaries in an INVITE request. The vulnerable function fails to validate the boundary length, allowing an attacker to manipulate memory access through memcmp, ultimately leading to unintended crashes of the service.

Affected Version(s)

sofia-sip 0 <= 1.13.18

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
