What is CVE-2026-110660?

vgmstream version r2117 is susceptible to a stack out-of-bounds read vulnerability in its G.722.1/Siren14 decoder. This vulnerability arises from the bit reader's failure to verify the bounds of the data_u32 array while refilling during the decoding process. Attackers can leverage this flaw by supplying specially crafted .s14 or .sss files. These files can manipulate the decoding function decode_vector_quantized_mlt_indices() to exceed the stack buffer limits during format detection, potentially leading to crashes in the vgmstream application.

Affected Version(s)

vgmstream 0

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
