What is CVE-2026-110767?

Gitingest versions up to 0.3.1 are susceptible to a symlink following vulnerability that permits unauthenticated attackers to access sensitive server files. By exploiting this flaw, attackers can submit symlink blob URLs, effectively redirecting the server to return files that the service user can read, which can be up to 10 MB in size. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, as it allows malicious actors to retrieve confidential information by leveraging symlink functionality within the blob ingestion process.

Affected Version(s)

gitingest 0 <= 0.3.1

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
