Denial of Service in FreeRDP Affected by Malicious RDP Server Exploits
CVE-2026-110830
8.2HIGH
What is CVE-2026-110830?
FreeRDP prior to version 3.32.0 contains a vulnerability that allows a malicious Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) server to launch a Denial of Service attack by repeatedly sending serial IRP_MJ_CREATE requests. This can result in the exhaustion of file descriptors, causing the client application to terminate unexpectedly at the CommReadFile FD_SETSIZE assertion. Users and administrators of FreeRDP should update to the latest version to mitigate this security risk and enhance their system's resilience against such attacks.
